Deadline extended
The deadline for abstracts, workshops, posters has
been extended until March 16th. Note, due to several
requests the early bird rate has also been extended to this date.
We invite you to submit abstracts for paper presentations and
poster sessions from all areas of the discipline and related

Booking accommodation
Special rates have been arrange at the conference venue.
To book these please email your reservation to the local organiser Dr Salih
Sahin by March 15th 2015. Provide your full name and contact
information including cell phone, arrrval and departure dates (number of
nights), the type of room and any special requirements. Further information and other accommodation options.
Second Keynote Announced
Prof. Dr. Johann-Bernhard Haversath of Justus-Liebig
University Giessen, Germany will be the second keynote presenter at the conference
in Ankara in 2015. As a human geographer his interests and presentation will
examine Eastern and Central Europe (between Baltic and Black Sea).
Professor Haversath also has published in geographical education.
Mapita Workshop
EUROGEO’s new member organization, Mapita, will present a
workshop at the Ankara conference. They have been a forerunner in changing
public participation practices in urban development contexts and making local
resident insight a more integral element in planning processes. Mapita is a
Finnish spin-off company from Aalto University's Land Use Planning and Urban

Conference Theme
The Conference 2015 theme is "Communicating
Geography: serving our world"
The 2015 EUROGEO Annual Meeting and Conference will be organised in conjunction
with and hosted by the Turkish Association of Geographers (TAG), in Ankara on
21-22 May 2015.
An optional field excursion to Cappadocia will take place
all day on 23 May 2015. More
Journal: Conference Issue
The European Journal of Geography (EJG) publishes at
least one issue each year on the conference theme, which for
2015 is "Communicating Geography". EJG is an international,
peer reviewed open access, free to download publication.
The Journal now on Scopus, is based on the European Association of Geographers’
goal to make European Geography a worldwide reference and standard. The
deadline for submission of articles for the conference issue (only via the journal web site) is July 15 2015. More
